Dr. Wendy Ching (Dentist)

After attending high school in Richmond, Dr. Wendy Ching went on to earn her degree in Biochemistry and later in Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. She then went on to practice in various communities in the lower mainland and further up north in the Peace Region. Eventually her work and travels brought her back to Richmond BC, the community which she calls home. Though also comfortable in other aspects of dentistry, Dr. Ching has a particular interest and special training in areas of periodontology and Invisalign. She continues to expand her scope of treatment in these areas through further continuing education.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Ching enjoys spending time with her boys at the playground and biking in Steveston.

Dr. Jan (Ian) Kantoch (Dentist)

Dr. Ian Kantoch grew up in Edmonton, AB  where he completed his undergraduate degree with the Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta. He later graduated from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Dentistry after which he went on to complete a General Practice Residency at VGH. This last program afforded him experience in working with considerations associated with more complicated medical histories. It also provided further experience under various dental specialties, in the academic setting, in addressing a wide range of emergency dental care.  After completing his training, Dr. Ian worked in both urban communities in BC and AB and rural communities where access to specialties and general dental care can be more limited. Evenutally, his work and travels led him to open a clinic with Dr. Ching in Richmond, BC.

Dr. Ian enjoys working in all aspects of dentistry, though his particular interests are in molar root canal therapy and in the area of oral implantology. He continues to further his education in these areas in order to better serve our community.
